The Woodlands Wildflower Festival
For over 25 years, The Woodlands Lions Club has been the beneficiary of the proceeds from the annual Woodlands Wildflower Festival.  Held each year in the fall at Cochran's Crossing Village Center, the Woodlands Wildflower Festival is a family-oriented event that consists of over 20 varieties of wildflower seeds distributed to the public for free courtesy of our seed sponsors.  To round out the festival, there is also face painting, clowns, DJ, petting zoo, pony rides, vendor booths, etc.  One of the highlights of the festival is the annual Wildflower Poster and T-shirt Contest.  Each year entries are accepted at The Woodlands Information Center for the adult and children's contest starting on Sept. 1st.  The winning adult entry is made into our official Wildflower Festival Poster and the winning child's entry is made into our official Wildflower Festival T-shirt.

College Scholarships
The Woodlands Lions Club awards approximately $5,000 every year to high school seniors at The Woodlands High School, College Park High School and Oak Ridge High School.  The college scholarships are based on financial need, academics, and community involvement.  If you know of a deserving high school senior at one of thse schools, please have them contact their school counselor for more information and an application.

Gift of Sight Program
Throughout the year, The Woodlands Lions Club helps provide financial assistance for grade school students in South Montgomery County for eye exams and glasses.  The exams are paid for by the club and the glasses are donated through Lens Crafters.  Thousands of students have been helped with their site through this program.  Almost every Lions club participates in a Gift of Sight Program for the schools in their hometown area.  The club greatly appreciates the school nurses that identify the children in need, the optometrists that perform the exams at a reduced cost for the clubs, and Lens Crafters.

Eye Glasses - Recycling Program
The Lions are dedicated to assisting individuals with their eye sight.  One way we can help people around the world is through donating our used glasses.  These glasses are then distributed international to individuals through mission trips.  Please consider donating your used eye glasses.  Donations sites are all around.  One of the sites that The Woodlands Lions Club maintains is at Dr. Bernie Maslovitz's, Optometrist - JC Penny's in The Woodlands Mall.
